ETBX 3.0 adds three new modules to the Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer library:
- The Droplet Evaporation module computes one-dimentional transport of a particle/droplet by a carrier gas. The module can be used to estimate the terminal velocity and time required to attain terminal velocity in a carrier gas moving at constant velocity. The module can also be used to examine the heating or cooling of a particle/droplet in a carrier gas.
- The Heat Conduction module computes heat fluxes, temperatures, and effective thermal resistance through slabs, long cylinders, and spheres under steady state conditions.
- The Convection Heat Transfer Coefficient for External Flow module computes the convection heat transfer coefficient for external flow over a flat plate, a sphere, a cylinder, or an array of cylinders.
